The regular congress of Gemlik Branch has gathered 4th time on 25th of December in Bursa. President Kavlak made some significant statement on the present situation concerning Group CBA Negotiations conducted with Employer’s Association MESS and also defined the roadmap to be followed for the coming term.
In his remarks Kavlak said ‘From now on, we are going to take action not only in the streets and public squares but also in our work places.’ Kavlak stated that the union took the decision to go on strike as of 24th of December.
Having said that, together with the troublesome years passed with the outbreak, last year was a very challenging one especially for the entire society and the working class due to the heavy economic conditions in our country. His wishes for the coming year to recover as much as possible. Despite all these difficulties; He stated that even when measures such as closures and restrictions have taken place, the entire working class has always continued to manufacture, and will continue to produce, to earn and to bring in as per our principle implies.
‘We need to take a look at the past before taking an action or preparing ourselves to fight. We have a flourishing resume in terms of claiming our rights and campaining. Pursuant to our past experience we are going to make the world unbearable for greed once again.
In his speech Kavlak explained the action plan;
This congress held by our Gemlik Branch will be a milestone for all of our community. We have new decisions and new actions to be taken in our agenda. In all regions that we organize have turned into an action ground in the last few days. We will continue to do so and to step up our actions through small scaled meetings. We were wandering 4 cities subsequently to organize meetings last week. We will continue to organize meetings in another 5 next week. Based on the attitude posed by the employers, we are going to organize a mass gathering in Kocaeli. I am inviting you all to this meeting to make ourselves heard for those concerned by fulfilling the city square with hundreds of thousands people.
Kavlak also added; we have decided to go on a strike as per 24th of December.
