INDUSTRIALL GLOBAL UNION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING CONVENED IN ISTANBUL
The Executive Committee of IndustriALL Global Union, which represents more than 50 million workers in 140 countries worldwide, working in fourteen main sectors, mainly in mining, energy and manufacturing, convened in Istanbul at the headquarters of Petrol-İş affiliated to TÜRK-İŞ.
Our President Uysal Altundağ, who is a member of the Executive Committee of IndustriALL Global, made a speech at the opening part of the meeting. In his speech, our President Uysal Altundağ expressed his happiness to welcome the members of the Executive Committee of IndustriALL Global Union in our country and stated that Türk Metal's struggle for organisation in the metal industry continues rapidly and that international trade union solidarity is very important for the strength of our union in the struggle for organisation.
Our President Uysal Altundağ, Bursa Branch President Selda Tekman, IEMF General Secretary Murat Salar and Adviser to the President Hasan Tahsin Benli attended the meeting. The ExCo Meeting of our global organisation was completed with the sessions held on 21-22 November.
