According to the statistics of the Labour Life Business Lines announced today (24 July 2024) by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and published in the Turkish Government Newspaper, our union has become the largest union in our country with 295,192 members.
In the last year, our union organised in 52 new workplaces and increased its membership by 26,807, and in the last six months, it organised in 28 workplaces and increased its membership by 12,477, bringing the total number of members to 295,192. Thus, it became the largest union with the highest number of members in our country not only in the metal industry but also in all industries.
We welcome once again all our members who produce with their labour, earn with their efforts and join forces with our union to seek their rights, and we would like to thank all our members who believe in and trust Türk Metal and entrust their efforts and future to our union.
We are proud to take part in the struggle for rights together with our 295,192 members united under the flag of Türk Metal all over Türkiye, and to walk together to achieve a fairer and more equitable working life. Our union will continue its campaign until there are no more unorganised workers in our line of business, and will continue to grow and strengthen with the new generation trade unionism approach it has brought to the trade union movement in our country.
We would like to thank our Board of Directors, Branch Presidents and executives, workplace union chief representatives and representatives, employees and members who contributed to this process.
