WE ARE TOGETHER FOR THE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OF METAL LABORERS!
Our union Türk Metal and two other trade unions organized in the metal industry held a joint press release in Istanbul on 7 January 2020, Tuesday for the MESS (Turkish Employers Association of Metal Industries) Group Collective Bargaining Agreement with Özçelik-İş Trade Union affiliated to Hak-İş and the United Metal-İş Trade Union affiliated to DİSK. Secretary General Luc Triangle of IndustriALL European Union, the parent organization of all three unions, attended the press release. The first three trade unions organized in our country in the metal industry organized a joint press statement against MESS for the first time, emphasizing the importance of acting together, stating that all three unions are fighting for the rights and freedoms of metal workers.
Turkish Employers Association of Metal Industries (MESS) and covering the metal sector in organized separate ongoing and 130 thousand metal labourers to between three unions in 2019 Collective Bargaining Agreement clogged shortly before the meeting, and in all three interviews had been passed to the intermediary stage. No agreement can be reached between the parties at the mediator stage, but the mediator report is expected to be delivered to the parties.
