BODO BODE WORKER IS NOT ALONE!
Our TOFAŞ Branch has recently completed the organization activities it has initiated in the BODO BODE workplace and received the Authorization Certificate from the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services on 6 November 2019. After our TOFAŞ Branch obtained the Authorization Certificate, the employer side started to play all kinds of games on the BODO BODE laborer. While 6 of our colleagues are fired, our brothers who are members of our union Türk Metal are trying to be intimidated by exiles and relocations within the factory.
TOFAŞ Branch, using the constitutional right of BODO BODE employer, held a press release in front of the factory (15 November 2019) in order to stop the games played by the laborers who are members of our union Türk Metal. In a press release attended by a large number of members, TOFAŞ Branch President Ömürlü Bayram; “Today we have gathered here for our bread and our dignity. We met with our brothers, BODO BODE employees, who do not submit to pressure, for solidarity. Today, we came together to shout, ‘The BODO BODE worker is not alone.”
TOFAŞ Branch Chairman Bayram, BODO BODE workers gathered under our union in a press statement addressed the following; “You stood up for your bread and your honor. You are organized for the sustenance of your child and your child. You said Türk Metal for a safer future, a more humane life and more humane working conditions. For this, you have decided to organize in Turkish Metal ranks. You have resisted all kinds of pressure for this cause. Despite all the obstacles, you organized. You never gave up the struggle. We are proud of you. Türk Metal is proud of BODO BODE worker. ”
BODO BODE employer addressing the press release continues our TOFAŞ Branch President Bayram; “It is a crime to try to exert pressure on our brothers because they are organized in the Türk Metal ranks. I have committed a crime that puts pressure, mobs and threatens them. Thereof; administrative, financial and criminal responsibility. Nobody can escape these responsibilities. Everybody's pay for what they did. That's for sure. I've got a couple of words for those who play this dirty game. Nobody's a servant. Do not participate in this crime. Don't play with people's dignity and pride. Saying, I was a servant,” does not save anyone. If anybody does this, turn around when the road is close. You should know that the era has changed. After that, you do not have unorganized and precarious workers. From now on, you are confronted with unionized conscious and faithful Türk Metal members. With hundreds of thousands of members, Turkey's largest union, Türk metal. So make up your mind: the decision is yours now”.
The TOFAŞ Branch President Bayram, who completed the press release by conveying the greetings of our President Pevrul Kavlak to BODO BODE workers; Ken When I came here, my President Pevrul Kavlak called. He said hello to all my brothers. And he said, tell them they are among us now, in the Türk Metal brothers' quarry. We're one and we're together. After that their case is our case, their fight is our fight. And let them know that we will never go back the way we are. Brothers, trust in Allah. Long live our organized struggle, long live Türk Metal.
