IndustriALL Global Union is organizing Automotive Working Group Meeting between 9-11 December 2019 in Cologne, Germany. 80 trade unionists from 20 different countries are attending the meeting. Our union Türk Metal attended the meeting with a delegation headed by our Financial Secretary Murat Salar. Our Financial Secretary Murat Salar made two different presentations at the Automotive Working Group Meeting. Our Financial Secretary Salar, the first day available in Turkey's automotive industry as well as general information about our country and driverless electric car production that takes place on the data made a presentation. On the second day of the Automotive Working Group Meeting, our union made a presentation introducing Türk Metal. Presentation and unionisation in Turkey as well as the relevant legislation, especially multinational production in Turkey gave important information about the state of organization of the Turkish Metal automotive business. He also gave information about the current situation of the union collective bargaining agreement with Turkish Employers Association of Metal Industries (MESS) and the participation of our union in global business councils and European business councils. In his presentation, our Financial Secretary Salar made a video demonstration of the Turkish Metalworkers’ Union TOFAŞ Branch's organizational activities in the Bode workplace.
