INDUSTRIALL MEMBER UNIONS MEET IN ANKARA
IndustriALL Global and IndustriALL Europe Trade Unions ana afflied Unions at Turkey met at the Tes-İş Workers Union Headquarter.
Meeting; IndustriALL Global General Secretary Valter Sanches, IndustriALL Europe General Secretary Luc Triangle members and representatives of trade unions in Turkey attended. The agenda of the meeting was composed of trade union problems in the member countries, solution proposals and ongoing collective bargaining processes.
Turkish Metalworkers’ Union Secretary of Fİnance Murat Salar, General Secretary Taliphan Kıymaz, Consultant of Türk Metal President Helmut Lense and Head of International Department Burak Ekmekçioğlu attended the meeting representing of our union. Speaking at the meeting, Murat Salar and Taliphan Kıymaz emphasized the importance of the solidarity of international labor and underlined the necessity of the struggle against the global capitalist system all over the world.
Salar and Kıymaz emphasized that the membership of IndustriALL Global and IndustriALL Europe that we achieved in 2019 is very valuable and a source of pride for our union. At the meeting where the main agenda item for our union was the MESS Group Collective Bargaining Agreement, information was given about the overall process and the latest situation. Our Secretary of Finance Murat Salar invited IndustriALL Global General Secretary Valter Sanches and IndustriALL Europe General Secretary Luc Triangle to our big meeting in Bursa on 19 January. In his speech, Salar also wanted to increase IndustriALL's support in organizing work in Akwel, Putzmeister, Formplast, Bode, Bitron workplaces.
