PRESIDENT KAVLAK WAS IN GERMANY
Our President Pevrul Kavlak met with President of IndustriAll Global and IG Metall Jörg Hofmann, in Germany. During the meeting held on Tuesday, February 23, 2022, at the Headquarters of the IG Metall in Frankfurt, the issues on which cooperation can be made between Turk Metal and IG Metall regarding union activities were discussed. In the meeting where knowledge and experience were shared among the unions, "Just Transition", that is, the evolution of the technological transformation process in the industry and industry 4.0. exchange of views on the issues.
Chairman of the General Works Council of Mercedes-Benz Group AG Ergün Lumali, Financial Secretary Murat Salar, President’s Advisor Helmut Lense, International Department Coordinator Burak Ekmekçioğlu and International Relations Expert Büşra Dağ took part in the meetings held.
Before the meeting with Mr. Jörg Hofmann, our President Kavlak also met with Member of the Executive Committee and Treasurer of IG Metall Jürgen Kerner and evaluated the issues that can be cooperated between the both unions in the trade union field.
