TURK METAL HAS DECIDED TO STRIKE

Turkish Metalworkers Union and Turkish Employers Association of Metal Industries (MESS) between talks had started on 7 October 2019. As the MESS side insisted on its proposals, which disregard the difficult conditions of the workers, the negotiations were blocked and our union adopted a series of action decisions and put them into practice. Our ongoing activities in the factories we are organized all over the country will be carried to the squares with Türk Metal Great Bursa Meeting on Sunday.

In the face of MESS's uncompromising stance, our actions have continued to spread and our union has decided to strike.

Our President Pevrul Kavlak stated that we will continue our struggle for the rights and freedoms of our members with determination, “Our union did not agree with the employer union MESS and imposed the poverty fee imposed on the metal worker, we said. it will continue its struggle for the rights and freedoms of our members with determination and will not turn out of the way with the power it receives from the members it represents. May our decision be beneficial and auspicious for our union, our members and the working class”.
